I just got back from John o’Groats after a little unicycle ride:858 miles of unicycling in 6 days, 8 hours and 43 minutes. (see daily reports and pictures of the ride at the blog)I rode with Roger from Unicycle.com, and we were supported by Paul Royle. Charity donations are gratefully received for Wake Up! Ministries in […]

This should be the last episode in my Chronicles of the Clavicle. I first broke mine in April by falling from my unicycle at speed. I then let it heal, started riding the unicycle again, and then re-broke it with a minor fall in June.
Today I had the best visit to the Fracture Clinic ever.

A recent print I made in my black-and-white evening class.
It was taken in front of the Old College in Aberystwyth, using the Prom rail as a tripod, on which I held my mini-tripod as steady as I could. With a manual exposure time of about 5 seconds I’m pleased that I got this so […]

I was looking for information about Kikobero village, near Mbale in eastern Uganda. There is not much on the internet about it.
But I found this site about education in Uganda more generally. With a picture that I took and put on Flickr years ago! The world of the internet is a funny […]

This ain’t no train!
This is a ten-carriage condominium, and I live here to hide from my wife.
If yo’d seen her you’d know why.
That lady is three-eighty-nine pounds, and that’s on the weekend!
She so fat she wears size sixty-four jeans.
Her ass is so big it’s like she got twelve stomachs…
Twenty stomachs.
Damn!
This was a little bit of […]

Two of the hundreds of yellow taxis criss-crossing Times Square in New York City every night. These were from my trip there in June. A little taster of more anecdotes and holiday snaps from the Big Apple… stay tuned!

This is the third batch of home-made bread which I’ve made within a week. I love it. I think it is difficult to get too much good bread. For a few years I have tried to just get my bread at independent bakeries, as Aberystwyth has several and they deserve […]

It is very nice outside. Finally it is warm and sunny and well worth wearing shorts and sandals. Or a skirt if you are inclined. The bluebells are out in style in the woods by PJM.
At this point in the year, doing anything indoors seems quite inferior to anything else outside. Time to go and […]
